Planning a party indoors doesn’t mean everyone has to sit around making small talk.

Set a timer for one or two minutes, then count the cups to determine the winner. It’s an easy party game for large groups because several people can play at once.
2. Head, Shoulders, Knees, Cup
Place one plastic cup between each pair of players. A caller shouts “head,” “shoulders” or “knees,” and everyone must touch the corresponding body part.
When the caller suddenly says “cup,” both players try to grab it. The person who gets the cup moves on to the next round until only one player remains.
3. Wizards and Werewolves
For something more immersive, try Wizards and Werewolves , a glow-in-the-dark game that combines hide-and-seek, tag, and a scavenger hunt.
It works especially well for groups that enjoy fantasy themes and active games. Dim the lights, explain the different roles, and let the magical battle begin.
4. Teeter Tower
Players take turns stacking cards and dice to build a tower. Each new piece makes the structure a little less stable, so steady hands matter.
The person who knocks down the tower loses the round. You can play individually or divide guests into teams and see which group builds the tallest tower.
5. Forbidden Island
If your group prefers cooperative games, Forbidden Island is a great choice. Instead of competing against one another, everyone works together to collect four treasures and escape before the island sinks.

Of course, you can also keep things simple with Jenga.
Players remove one block at a time and place it on top of the tower without making everything tumble.
Add funny questions or mini-challenges to the blocks to turn it into a more personalized adult party game.
7. Text Message Telephone
Sit in a circle and have the first person type a short message. Pass the phone to the next player, who reads the message briefly before retyping it from memory on another phone or in a fresh note.
Continue around the circle, then compare the final message with the original. The strange changes are usually the funniest part.

Exploding Kittens is a quick card game filled with luck, strategy, and opportunities to sabotage your friends.

If you’re looking for something quick, try Spot It! Every pair of cards has exactly one matching symbol, and players race to find it first.

The player who blows away the Joker loses. It requires almost no setup but becomes oddly tense once only a few cards remain.
23. Mango Battle
Give each player a spoon and a small mango, lime or plastic ball. Players must balance the object on the spoon while trying to knock their opponent’s object to the floor.
Set clear boundaries before you begin, especially if you’re playing indoors. For less mess, plastic fruit works just as well as the real thing.
24. Who Is Most Likely To?
Read prompts beginning with “Who is most likely to…” and have everyone point to the person who best fits each one.
Use funny, friendly questions that suit your group. This can be a great icebreaker, especially when some guests already know one another.
25. Fix the Eggs
Separate several plastic eggs and place the pieces in a pile. Divide players into pairs and have each person keep one hand behind their back.

If you want to turn the entire evening into an activity, try Mystery on the Mayflower. Guests take on different roles, examine clues and work out who is responsible for the mystery.

28. I Did This: Who Am I?
Before the party, collect one unusual, funny or memorable fact from each guest. Read the facts aloud one at a time and have everyone guess who submitted each one.
