These fall get to know you games are an easy way to get everyone talking, laughing and learning more about each other.
I love them for groups that include a mix of familiar and new faces. They make introductions feel a lot more natural!
You can use these games at fall parties, family gatherings, women’s events, classrooms, team meetings and club activities.
Most are quick to set up, and several require no supplies at all.
Let’s get to know each other!
Two Truths and a Fall Fib
Each player shares three statements about their fall experiences, traditions or opinions.
Two statements are true, and one is made up.
Everyone else guesses which one is the fall fib.
I think this one is especially fun with people who already know each other because the answers can still be surprisingly hard to guess!
Fall This or That
Give players two fall choices and ask them to pick their favorite.
Try apple cider or hot chocolate, pumpkin patch or fall festival, and Halloween or Thanksgiving.
Players can raise their hands, hold up answer cards or move to opposite sides of the room.
Ask a few people to explain their choices so everyone gets to know each other a little better.
Fall Find Someone Who
Give each player a list of fall statements.
They must move around the room and find someone who matches each one.
Your list might include someone who loves pumpkin spice, has walked through a corn maze or makes a special Thanksgiving dish.
This is one of my favorite get to know you games for large groups because it encourages everyone to mingle.
Fall Favorites Speed Friending
Divide everyone into pairs and give them two minutes to answer a fall question together.
When time is up, switch partners and ask a new question.
You could ask about their favorite fall tradition, their dream autumn trip or the meal they crave when the weather gets cooler.
A few quick rounds give everyone the chance to make several new connections.
Fall Roll and Share
Players take turns rolling a die and answering the fall question assigned to that number.
I like this game because the die adds a little suspense, but no one has to come up with a question on the spot.
Try questions about favorite fall foods, traditions, memories, movies and seasonal activities.
You’ll need:
- One die
- Six fall questions
Candy Color Questions
Place colorful candy in a bowl and assign a question to each color.
Players choose a piece and answer the matching question before eating it.
For example, orange could mean sharing a favorite fall food, while red could mean telling the group about a favorite fall memory.
It’s easy, inexpensive, and comes with its own snack!
You’ll need:
- Colorful candy
- A question guide
- A bowl
Mystery Fall Facts
Ask everyone to write one unusual fall fact about themselves on a slip of paper.
It could be a funny Halloween memory, a family tradition or a strong opinion about pumpkin pie.
Collect the papers and read each fact aloud. Everyone must guess who wrote it.
I’d encourage players to be specific, but not so obvious that the answer is immediately clear.
You’ll need:
- Slips of paper
- Pens
- A bowl
Pumpkin Question Toss
Have everyone sit or stand in a circle.
Toss a small plush pumpkin to one person and ask them a fall question. After answering, they toss the pumpkin to someone else.
Continue until everyone has answered at least one question.
You can use a soft orange ball or even a rolled-up pair of orange socks if you don’t have a plush pumpkin!
You’ll need:
- A plush pumpkin or soft orange ball
- Fall questions
Fall Human Bingo
Give each player a bingo card filled with fall-themed facts and experiences.
Players mingle and find someone who matches each space. That person signs or initials the square.
Use prompts such as “has visited a pumpkin patch,” “loves scary movies” or “has baked a pie from scratch.”
The first person to complete a row wins!

- Fall bingo cards
- Pens or pencils
- A small prize

Common Ground Challenge
Divide everyone into small teams.
Give each team three minutes to discover five things they all have in common.
They cannot use obvious answers, such as being at the same party or living in the same town.
At the end, each team shares its most unexpected connection.
You’ll need:
- A timer
- Paper and pens
Build Your Perfect Fall Day
Ask each player to describe their perfect fall day.
They should include where they would go, what they would do, what they would eat and how they would spend the evening.
I’d probably choose a cool morning outside, a cozy lunch and a scary movie at night!
The answers are simple, but they reveal quite a bit about everyone’s interests and personalities.
Fall Top Five
Choose a seasonal category and ask players to create their personal top-five list.
Categories could include fall foods, seasonal activities, Halloween candy, cozy movies or Thanksgiving dishes.
Players can compare their lists in pairs or small groups.
Award one point each time two people have the same answer, then see which group discovered the most shared favorites.
Choosing a Fall Get to Know You Game
The best game depends on your group and how much time you have.
Fall This or That, Pumpkin Question Toss and Roll and Share are perfect when you need something quick.
Human Bingo and Find Someone Who work well for large groups because they get everyone moving around the room.
For smaller groups, I’d try Mystery Fall Facts, Speed Friending or Build Your Perfect Fall Day.
You can also play two or three during the same event.
Start with something quick, move into a more interactive game, and let the conversations continue from there!
