Looking for a silly money game that’s perfect for Christmas parties?
Try this quick guessing game that uses dollar bills, a deck of cards, and a little bit of luck.
It’s easy to learn, keeps the pot growing, and always ends with one lucky winner taking it all.

Materials Needed
-
Deck of cards numbered 1–10 (or slips of paper with numbers written on them)
-
$1 bills (at least 4 per player)
-
A bowl or tray for the center pot
How To Play
-
Each player starts with three $1 bills in their hand.
-
Each player also contributes $1 to the center pot before the game starts.
-
At the start of each round, players call out a number from 1 to 10.
-
The host draws a card (or number) to reveal the winning guess.
-
If a player guessed correctly, they take $1 from the pot.
-
If a player guessed incorrectly, they place $1 into the pot.
-
-
If a player runs out of money, they’re eliminated.
-
The game continues until only one player has money left. That person wins it all – their cash plus what’s left in the pot!
Variations
- Make this game kid-friendly by using wrapped candies or chocolate coins.
- If you want the game to draw out longer (your group is smaller), you can start with each player having more than three singles in their hand.
- You can adjust the rules slightly depending on your preferences (for example, if multiple people shout out the same number, the first to say “Merry Christmas” is the only one who can extract the dollar from the pot).
This Christmas dollar bill guessing game is fast, unpredictable, and works for any size group.
It’s a great way to add a playful casino-style twist to your holiday party without needing chips or fancy equipment.
Enjoy!
